As part of a new feature on the blog, we will regularly be trying to interview local businesses. This is to help spread the word about all the great small businesses we have in Wales and find out a bit more about the people behind them.

First up is Natalie, she is the founder of Spiritually Seren.....

1. Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Natalie and I am a Reiki and Relaxation Practitioner based in Rogerstone, Newport. I love exploring spirituality and trying out all sorts of relaxation practices.

I live with my partner Jon; I have two beautiful busy children and 4 lovely entitled cats who we serve.

I am happy to answer any questions about my business. Happy to offer you free tips to try at home and discuss how Reiki and relaxation can help you to maximise your potential.

2. Tell us about what you do

I offer 1-2-1 sessions and also hold group sessions on a regular basis. This is a small hobby business and I started about a year ago.

I have many tools and passions that I incorporate into my sessions, such as essential oils, sound and colour therapy, weighted blankets, guided meditation and crystal healing.

My goal is to create the perfect relaxation space for each of my clients as individuals.

3. What was your inspiration behind starting the business?

I love what I do and believe everyone should try Reiki and feel the health benefits that total relaxation can deliver.

I have struggled with Anxiety myself and know the value of self-care and making time for your mental wellbeing.

4. Why is work so important to you?

I genuinely enjoy what I do and it’s too enjoyable to be called work. I hope that I help my clients to feel truly relaxed.

5. Who inspires you?

There are many beautiful spiritual healers in our local area and they have all definitely inspired me to follow a spiritual exploration path. I feel the community of healers is very strong and that in itself motivates me.

6. What would be your top bit of advice for those looking to set up a business locally?

Know in depth what your clients/customers actually want from you and stick to this.

7. What’s your favourite thing about our local area?

Definitely the community spirit and the beautiful mountains.

Where can we find out more about you?
